In today's episode, I'm sharing the top 12 signs that you might be in an unhealthy relationship. Let's dive in and be mindful of these internal red flags because at the end of the day, a narcissist can present in many different ways.  The key is to tune into how YOU are feeling to get a sense if the relationship is unhealthy or not. 

  1. Feeling Constantly Drained: If interactions leave you emotionally exhausted, it could indicate a toxic dynamic. Your well-being matters.

  2. Questioning Reality: If you find yourself doubting your own perceptions and memories, it might be a sign of gaslighting or manipulation.

  3. Walking on Eggshells: Feeling like you need to be overly cautious to avoid triggering a negative reaction can be a clear indication of toxicity.

  4. Losing Your Sense of Self: If you no longer recognize the confident, optimistic person you once were, pay attention. Your self-worth matters.

  5. Isolation and Loneliness: Feeling isolated and disconnected, especially if driven by your partner, is a red flag. Healthy relationships nurture connections.

  6. Mental & Physical Health Issues: Constant anxiety, depression, and chronic illness can be physical manifestations of an unhealthy relationship.

  7. Seeking Approval: Constantly seeking validation from your partner instead of honoring your own values is a sign worth noticing.

  8. Fear of Confrontation: If you're avoiding expressing your beliefs and concerns out of fear of your partner's reaction, it's time to reflect on the power balance in your relationship.

  9. Trust Issues: Mistrusting others and even yourself can be a result of patterns learned in a toxic relationship. Trust is fundamental in healthy relationships.

  10. Rationalizing Bad Behavior: Excusing or justifying your partner's harmful actions, crossing your boundaries, is not okay. Your boundaries are important.

  11. Feeling Controlled: Losing autonomy and decision-making power to your partner can erode your sense of control. Your voice matters in a healthy relationship.
